GPA² was founded in 2019 by Coach Bell who recognized a critical gap in the athletic recruiting landscape. Too many talented student athletes in Des Moines and across Iowa were being overlooked by college recruiters—not because they lacked talent or academic ability, but because they didn't have a platform to showcase their complete story. 

Drawing from 3 decades of coaching experience, Coach Bell understood that success in college athletics requires more than just physical ability. It demands academic discipline, character, and dedication—qualities that many student athletes possess but struggle to communicate effectively to recruiters. 

The name itself reflects our philosophy: GPA Squared represents the multiplication of Academic achievement with Athletic achievement. When you square your GPA—when you combine classroom success with field performance—you create exponential opportunities.
